About Jayne Carney

My journey with holistic therapies began over 25 years ago at Steiner School of Beauty Therapy, Wardour Street, London. It was here, whilst studying and obtaining CIBTAC and CIDESCO International Diplomas in Beauty Therapy I was introduced to massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy, quickly realising the benefits these treatments provided for clients and the positive effects they had on them. I subsequently went on to work in various salons in London providing a variety of beauty treatments to my clients.

I am a mum to three, now adult, children, the eldest of whom is autistic. Following our move to Ireland in 2002 I developed a keen interest in learning about autism and intellectual disability and as a result went on to gain qualifications including a HDip from UCC in Facilitating Inclusion. I also have extensive experience in working with children and adults with Intellectual Impairments, spending the last 20 years as an SNA/Social Care Worker. This work, I feel has helped me to develop my empathy, insight and recognition of my clients needs thus providing treatments that are tailored to and meet their requirements. My aim with all my treatments is to ease the stress of daily life and leave you with a feeling of deep relaxation.

I am a qualified Reiki Practioner (Level 2) having studied with Ellen Coleman Wallace. I also have an ITEC Diploma in Reflexology with Obus Academy in Leixlip and have completed CPD courses specialising in Facial Rejuvenation Reflexology, Reflexology for Menopause, Hand Reflexology, Reflexology for Cancer Care and Indian Head Massage.
I have a keen interest in furthering my holistic studies and hope to bring a variety of additional treatments in the near future. I am a member of the NRRI and certain Reflexology treatments are approved and reimbursable with healthcare insurance providers.
